Like other professionals, I invest in continuing education opportunities each year. My training includes a broad range of education to allow me to provide service directed to clients' needs. In addition to extensive EMDR training, I am also trained in DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), cognitive therapy, emotion-focused therapy (EFT), mindfulness training, performance improvement, grief therapy, critical incident stress debriefing & management, couples counseling, psychodynamic and family systems theories, and play therapy modalities.

I continue to provide consultation, education and support to other mental health professionals in hospices, hospitals, & school districts regarding how to help children and teens who are grieving & how to utilize sand tray therapy. I also provide training in managing traumatic experiences in an organizational setting.

Organizations where I provided training in Denver include:

While completing my PhD, I taught undergraduate psychology courses in human growth and development at the University of Northern Colorado. Additionally, I enjoyed being the guest lecturer for both undergraduate & graduate level psychology classes and graduate level social work classes. During this time, I maintained a full time private practice for children, teens, adults, and couples.

I remain open to learn with each client, for each person's journey through life is unique. I consider it a privilege to hear the thoughts and heart feelings of those I serve.
